Roxanne was a pisser! The thing is that she is, in essence, the same person that she was as a teenager with the same feelings but different because of her experiences. Never having listened to an audiobook before, I had no idea what I was in for, but I found that I really enjoyed the experience.

Will it be too much for her to take, and make her realize that the break-up was exactly that – something that was meant to be long ago? The old woman remarks on how important it is to “try” many different men until you can find the one you can “stay” in love with. In the wake of the proposal, Erin finds herself coming unraveled over alwqys past, and the love she never forgot. One takes place in the past. Twenty-three years later, she still remembers him and the old feelings.

This was a book filled with longing, regret, love and humor, missed chances, miscommunication, misunderstandings, but above all, a deep, life long enduring love. I wish alwaye had been more scenes of them talking and laughing rather than fighting and screwing so I could believe that after 23 years, they’d still yearn for each other based on something other than physical chemistry.

The details of their relationship are slowly revealed, and the deeper you read into their relationship, the more the questions press about what in the world happened to keep them apart for the last 23 years. Narbison story is set in the suburbs of Washington D.

No one has, and Erin fears that no one ever will. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase.

Elin Hilderbrand Narrated by: Today, Erin is contentedly involved with a phenomenal guy, maneuvering a successful and exciting career, and raising a great daughter all on her own. I have thought often what would life been like if I had made different choices? And the back story about her job was completely lame; it was a HUGE stretch to tie it into the main plot, which was simply weak and lazy. The story has fun subplots in present day, interwoven with the back story of Nate and Erin in high school.

In the wake of the proposal, Erin finds herself coming unraveled over the past, and the love she never forgot. And then fate throws Nate back into her life I felt like the book relied too much on sex – either Nate and Erin were fighting because of some melodrama Erin was pulling or they were making up and having hot makeup sex. Once they even listened to Air Supply, which was only a few years out of date in There was a problem filtering reviews right now.

These were wonderfully woven together o Always Something There to Remind Me was another beautifully crafted Harbison novel.

There’s more at stake than just unplanned pregnancies or STDs. The one with whom she shared everything–dreams of the future, of children, plans for forever. I’m hoping it’s the former because I really don’t want to “grow up” to be a crotchety old lady. I am so enamored with Beth Harbison. Or is love about making the right choice no matter what?

In the present version of Erin, we see her at work planning parties, taking care of her teenage daughter and grappling with how to respond to the proposal of her new boyfriend. For some reason, Harbison decided to change the narrative point of view when Erin Edwards, the main character, is in the present and the past. I am so glad that I experienced it as an audiobook first, but I will be honest, I plan to go out tomorrow and buy the book.

They declared their love. Amazon Inspire Digital Educational Resources.

Especially if you have that one true love you had in high school. And not only that. Who wants to sing love songs to a high school jock anyway? That is why I chose this one. Her beloved husband has been found dead, but before Irene can process this tragic news, she must confront the perplexing details of her husband’s death.

Always Something There to Remind Me

Erin Edwards is living in two worlds. When in Doubt, Add Butter: She seems to routinely make bad decisions and never learns from the past- something that irritates me when reading a book.

Erin and Nate, then and now, 20 years later, living their lives totally separately along different pat I loved this book! The guy that you just cannot stop thinking about.
