This isn’t exactly a book you read. The major pathways in the spinal cord are presented simultaneously, rather than in succession, to xlinical comparisons among the pathways.

The spinal cord ends at about vertebral level L2 but nerves U-SS continue caudally as the cauda equina “horse’s tail” to exit by their corresponding vertebrae Fig.
The author manages to take a subject that is neutoanatomy complex and present it in a way that simplifies it to the main concepts. This book is not intended to replace standard reference texts, but rather to be read as a companion text before or during the neuroanatomy course, one which will enable the student to rapidly gain an overall’ perspective of clinical neuroanatomy.
Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone – like me – who struggled a bit to grasp the gokdberg of neuroanatomy as presented in other textbooks or lectures.

It helps me to imagine the vasculature of the ggoldberg and deficits in each lesion. Information then is chemically transmitted to other neurons via con- nections known as synapses.
The mnemonics and humor in this book do not intend any disrespect for patients or original investigators. As a basis for neurology I think it should be more detailed as I’ll need some other literature to cover the topics that this book skipped.

Ernst Scharrer, just prior to his untimely death, was my teacher’in neuroanatomy at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. It is unfortunate that this goldbberg is not attempted more frequently in medical education.
Still not a bad book. Rather than text definitions of all potentially unfamiliar terms, a selected glossary follows the text. Ok fine so this is more of a joke but it really is the only book that I’m currently reading or supposed to anyways.
Lawton Smith for their helpful suggestions and Ms. Better for the clinical years than the pre-clinical years, although I used it during both. Would recommend this to medical students.
