Was that ever a surprise? Big 5 stars from this devoted romance reader! With the ending leaving you page turning, wondering what would happen next between Robert whom at the time I wanted to kick in the butt and Bel.

So I have a hard time believing he would have installed his mistress in his home or have taken her to spend time with his family members in the inicencia The fact that she thought getting a protector would keep her from ever being abused made her dumb as rocks to me.

Because I just love being swept away in a moving, passionate story of two people who against all odds find deep, fulfilling, healing love and live out their happily ever after. The problem is that books such as these almost always make me feel the hero and heroine aren’t on equal footing and that completely turns me off.

What irritates me the most is that she had the opportunity to be a really interesting fley, but wasn’t.

I really felt this could have been polished up more with the number of mistakes I found. Also her father, his role wasn’t very fatherly but he acted like he was a great father. The whole ‘I love you, I would do anything for you please stay with me forever as my mistress’ just didn’t work for me and is what made this a 3 star.

Robert and Belinda’s romance took off kind of slow, but it was pretty hot – which I guess I should have expected. What a wonderful story.

He was going to marry someone else yet wanted to keep her on the side. I haven’t read very many courtesan novels, but inicencia was this wonderful and nontraditional! Other books in the series. Or She will also be known as a demirep and sometimes whore. She isn’t hurt physically, but the act of leaving her with the man alone deserved more grovelling in the end. I found that inocencis contrived and out of character for her given her past experience with a brutal man and her innocence in all sexual acts.

Oh Robert I was loving you up until this point. Our heroine, Belinda Inocenccia, started off as a good daughter to a countryman. Did he redeem himself? The description of the book really does not go into depth about how this happens with the heroine and I think that was why I waited awhile to begin it.

I did not enjoy this all that much. So despite the choices that Belinda made, I really liked her from the first and wanted the best for sedctora – and kept wondering, how is this ever going to work out? View all 51 comments.

Refresh and try again. No trivia or quizzes yet. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. Her characters don’t particularly grab me but I’m willing to accept that for a decent plot. Hawk and Belinda meet as she is trying to select a protector.

And you are not responsible for anyone else’s happiness. I must say the courtesan theme is not what bothers me. I’m a big sucker for tormented angst-ridden couples but when the character’s motivations and actions don’t line up with his words? As a male of high ranking societal status, with too much power and influence, but lacking the integrity to use them responsibly, Dolph sets out to destroy Belinda.

And by closer together I mean he makes her destitute and a prostitute. Sadly, in one tragic turn of events, however, she finds that sometimes, our choices are taken away from us and we have to make to make do with what fate has handed us. View all 14 comments. My real problem with the story is that I don’t like either Robert or Belinda.

This story made me feel uneasy at times but its hold on the heart and emotions was tenacious.

Such decadent love scenes, I scarcely remembered turning th Kindle Editionpages. Robert es remilgado, mojigato, estirado, con sentido de la justicia y el honor, pero tiene ese lado protector que ay que bonito Quiero un Robert para llevar please! Between the middle and the end of this book, it dropped from 4 stars high for me to 2 stars. He’s only slightly more disturbed by his own rage than the fact that someone is unjustly dead.
