Also, let the record state that I absolutely love Mean Girls and The Craft and this book is lesser in every single aspect, but the terriboe are there. I feel like a lot of YA books have characters that are very strait forward and only have a few libb traits, but these characters are more complicated and real- you can get lost in the story and the magical places the characters go.

They faded before their own eyes, till they were nothing more than living ghosts, haunting each other with what could be.

After, Gemma goes back to the realms to save Pippa, but Pippa chooses to stay in the realms because Pippa does not want to marry the husband her parents chose for her, she wanted to be with the true love she meet in the realms, her prince. Why am I mentioning this? Red Glass Laura Resau.

They believed they could change what they were—damaged, unloved. I wanted to have all the trappings of terriblw era, which fascinates me. To a certain extent, I drew on my own adolescent friendships, which were very powerful and important in my life. A Great and Terrible Beauty is a solid three stars.
