The songs were dreadful. It’s a charming, witty story of a Jacob, who is the youngest in his large family and thus has to say everything twice to be heard. Apparently I’ve been reading Mordecai Richler since I was but a lil’ squirt, unbeknownst to me. Oct 11, Troy Parfitt rated it it was amazing. Hoodfd enough to have kept it on my shelf all those years. It’s funny though, that a book so highly redeemed as Canadian even to have a television show based on the book set in Canada, when in reality the book is set in England.
He finds himself locked away in a prison for children, one run by the ostensibly dreadful Hooded Fang and, as Jacob might say, has to find a way out; has to find a way out. We are experiencing technical difficulties.
