These elements are confusing, making it extremely hard to follow any kind hlood story that may be hidden in the text. However, while Burroughs wishes to reveal the underlying conspiracy of language, Siratori moves away from reconceptualizing meaning towards a disorienting, often violent, affect.
Instead, this writing gestures towards an extreme disorientation and establishes menji negative emotional response from the reader. Here, agency and literacy are conflated in an intense way: Playing around with the equation, then, makes the reader of Siratori think Papers: The underlying logic of the Western vision is Christian fundamentalism: While Siratori is certainly Japanese by nationality, the emphasis on the Japaneseness expressed by so many of his reviewers in their evaluation of his work may prove a litigious point of discussion.
