And so it went, I liked the characters, and with the lack of romance, the story was good I just never felt any real chemistry between them…ever. Kurland is a kurand writer and the mix of humor and sincere emotion in her dialogue is absolutely wonderful. Even so, this would have been a 4 star read. The book has it’s time travel portions as well as action scenes so don’t worry.

But his marriage ended up being a travesty when he found out his wife was being unfaithful and was bearing another man’s child. Garcen are entertaining, a little sexy but not overtly so, and a little time travel. I think this is a book I would enjoy the second time around and probably if I had read the series in order.

Patrick has been living in the future the longest of his family. Madelyn Phillips goes off to Scotland for a vacation of a lifetime, only to run into her ex-fiance and from there the fun starts. He hasn’t the heart for love, nor the time for rescuing maidens in distress of their own making.


Swashbuckling hero’s, wonderful castles and romance in the air. Well, I admit I was pretty disappointed in this one.

Madelyn has baggage but so does Patrick. A Garden in the Rain appealed to my reading interest. This story wraps you up in a fall rain scented blanket and whisks you off to Scotland.

This was a great read and I’d recommend it as a good read. Sep 06, Jordan rated it really liked it. Somehow during high school, in between bouts of Verdi and Rossini, she managed to find time to submerge herself in equal parts Tolkien, Barbara Cartland and Mad Magazine.

Refresh and try again. It would have made a lot more sense if she had dumped him and he followed her there to try and win her back, IMO After awhile his character is kind of dropped from the story and a new villain is introduced.

This was a good story which entertained me. This is in the same tradition of romance and humor that she laces all her books. During college, a chance encounter with a large library stack of romances left her hooked, gave her the courage to put pen to paper herself, and finally satisfied that need for a little bit of fantasy with a whole lot of romance!

Because he was morning the loss of his daughter who he thought was killed by Patrick and therefore wanted revenge? She thinks her dreams are in vain. This is the first book of Lynn Kurland’s that I have read, and I really enjoyed it. This was my first introduction to Lynn Kurland’s books.

In a sense, Patrick was the one who started the whole MacLeod time traveling thing. But the past isn’t through with either of murland, and it will im all the love both of them possess to make their dreams come true.

Until she sees a man standing on a windswept moor, a Highlander full of secrets and rqin, and Madelyn knows she has seen her destiny. Not the case here! A Garden in the Rain. If Patrick had not traveled forward in time before Elizabeth traveled back, Jamie may never have believed her whole story of the future.

Her ex fiancee Bentley I wanted to reach into the story and strangle him, he was one of the most annoying characters I’ve had to rajn This was an unusual time travel romance, at least I’ve not read anything like it before.
